HCL, JK Ind & Pharma stocks boost market

Mumbai -- The market, which is witnessing ups and down since morning, gained some strength when positive trading made its way towards it.

Among the pharma industries, Dishman Pharma has spurred by 5.4% to Rs. 210 after the company takes over Swiss Research Company. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 214 and a low of Rs. 197 and has recorded volumes of over 80 thousand shares on NSE.

Another pharma company, Sun Pharma also boosted the market with its gains posted at 1.6% to Rs. 905. The scrip is the biggest gainer among the 50-scrips of NSE Nifty and has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 916 and low of Rs. 874 and has recorded volumes of over 1 lakh shares on NSE.

Following the tracks of pharma industries, HCL Infosystems has surged by 2% to Rs. 164 after the companmy announced its plan to pay Rs. 2 as dividend. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 174 and a low of Rs. 162 and has recorded volumes of over 3 lakh shares on NSE.

The same way, JK Industry has spurred by 3.6% to Rs. 105. The company sells its 3.6mn preferred shares to Fenner India at Rs. 105 a piece . The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 109 and a low of Rs. 101 and has recorded volumes of over 99 thousand shares on NSE.

On contrary, market got a blow when L&T slipped by 0.8% to Rs. 2375. The company, however, has secured Rs. 3.8bn for Coal handling plant. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 2399 and a low of Rs. 2352 and has recorded volumes of over 92 thousand shares on NSE.
