Bharti Airtel, Punj Lloyd & Metal stocks are up

Mumbai-- After opening in green territory, the market continues its trend with positive tradings.

Patni has moved further by 2.7% top Rs. 370, after the company’s ADR was high over 11% overnight on Wall Street. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 389 and a low of Rs. 363 and has recorded volumes of over 3 lakh shares on NSE.

In the same way, Bharti Airtel has surged by 1.2% to Rs. 415 after the company entered into a strategic tie-up with Microsoft to roll over a new technology platform. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 419 and a low of Rs. 407 and has recorded volumes of over 5 lakh shares on NSE.

Likewise, Tera Software Ltd. has locked a 5% upper circuit. The Board of the company will meet on Aug. 28 to take the matters like de-merger of Annaram land and issue of bonus shares, into consideration. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 75.80 and a low of Rs. 75.80 and has recorded volumes of over 4 thousand shares on BSE.

Following the path of gainers, Metal stocks are back in action on account of firm International Metal prices. Tata Steel has gained by 2.1% to Rs. 519, Hindalco has advanced by 2.7% to Rs. 165, National aluminum is up by 1.8% to Rs. 202 and Bhushan Steel has added 1.4% to Rs. 228.

The market got another boost when Punj Lloyd Ltd gained by 2.3% to Rs. 780. The company received a US $290mn order from Sirte Oil Company, Libya for pipeline projects. The scrip has touched an intra-day high of Rs. 788 and a low of Rs. 770 and has recorded volumes of over 4 lakh shares on NSE.
