Mumbai -- After witnessing a slight downfall in the afternoon trading, the market has retained its firm position.
Fall in crude oil prices pushed the Auto stocks forward. Tata Motors has gained by 2.9% to Rs. 840, M&M has gained by 1.7% to Rs. 643, Maruti is up by 1% to Rs. 823 and TVS Motors has added by 0.5% to Rs. 95.
Likewise, Bharti Shipyard has gained by 2.8% to Rs. 333 after the company bagged an order worth Rs. 1.2bn from Reliance. The scrip touched an intra-day high of Rs. 339 and a low of Rs. 324 and has recorded volumes of over 1 lakh shares on NSE.
In the same manner, Punj Lloyd has surged by 2% to Rs. 753, after the company gets an order worth Rs. 8.23bn. The scrip touched an intra-day high of Rs. 761 and a low of Rs. 725 and has recorded volumes of over 6 lakh shares on NSE.
Similarly, Rolta has surged by 4% to Rs. 219, after the company inked a deal with Thales (France) to establish a Joint Venture. The scrip touched an intra-day high of Rs. 223 and a low of Rs. 210 and has recorded volumes of over 35 lakh shares on NSE.
