Nokia N91 multimedia handset hits US marketby MT Bureau - June 7, 2006 - 0 comments
One of the world's largest telecommunications equipment manufacturers-Nokia said Monday (5 June) that it was launching its N91 multimedia phone in the United States, with initial exclusive availability from the Nokia USA Web site. Best known today for its leading range of mobile phones, Nokia declared that US shipments of the Nokia N91 multimedia device have started. According to Espoo, Finland based mobile communications company, the N91 is optimized for mobile music consumption. The device includes a 4GB hard drive, 3.5 mm stereo headset jack, wireless LAN support, dedicated music keys, and offers easy PC synchronization with Windows Media Player. “The Nokia N91 delivers on the Nokia N-series promise in a very compelling way. Its multiple connectivity and powerful performance in all areas, truly makes it the world's best mobile connected jukebox,†said Nokia America multimedia director David Watkins. Its HDD can store up to 3,000 songs encoded in either AAC, [[AAC+]], [[eAAC+]], MP3, mp3Pro, WAV, MIDI, M4A or Microsoft's WMA format, and offers a new feature enabling users to share playlists with friends by text message or via Bluetooth wireless technology. Furthermore, exclusive videos from the Live8 concert series, held in July 2005, are available on the N91. The Nokia N91 will initially be available particularly online at http://www.nokiausa.com and will retail for $ 599 USD. |
