Kodak India Pvt. Ltd. has turned heads recently with the release of the world’s first dual lens digital camera. The EasyShare V5 70 with proprietary KODAK RETINA Dual Lens sports one lens on top of another. It wraps an ultra wide-angle lens of 23 mm and an optical zoom lens of 39 to 117 mm with a 5X optical magnification range of 23-117 mm. into a small, sleek package less than an inch as well as conventional ones. The 5-megapixel camera features Schneider-Kreuznach C-Variogon lenses, an automatic panorama stitch mode, and the ability to take videos as well as still photographs. Its advanced MPEG-4 compression allows quality TV video at up to 30 frames per second. Built-in image stabilisation technology brings down on-screen shaking from unintentional hand and camera movement. The camera also offers an optical zoom feature for video including auto focus. The users can select any frame in a video, then save and print it as a `freeze frame’ still picture in seconds.
