MNC s staying remote from Indian Long distance telephony
New Delhi:The lowering down the entry fees for the NLD and ILD players,the lucrative subsidies and all the magic have failed to get the Indian government the global firms landing up in the country’ long distance telephony scenario.Following the centre’ initiatives the ILD segment has till now got applications from five new firms including Siffy Communications,Dishnet Wireless,Shippingstop.com,Spice Communications,I21 entrerprises.The NLD sector has been approached by HCL infonet,Hughes Escorts Communication limited,HutchisonEssar,Tulip IT services.

The restrictions imposed by GOI over remote network access, can't be withdrawn or relaxed in national interest, evenif it doesn't attract MNCs.
In the long run, they shall relaise its their loss and not GOI's.
