FDI gets centre's nod for 27 proposalsby MT Bureau - March 16, 2006 - 0 comments
With the FM P Chidambaram giving the final consent,FDI has brought the country cash inflow of around 997.906 crores.FDI had put forward around 27 proposals earlier to the centre catering to sectors like telecommunications,petroleum and natural gas,shipping and financial services. The affirmation will be benefiting firms like AIG Capital Corp having plans to set up a wholly owned asset management and consumer finance company in India with capital investment of around 220 crores along with the names like Genworth Financial with venture to set up non-banking financial subsidiary to offer customers housing mortgage credit default defense products. The blessed enterprises in the petroleum sector include names like Petronas International getting ascent to set up 100% subsidiary undertaking activities related to marketing,import and trade of petroleum products.Investment worth 110 will be made by Israel based Tower Vision in the Telecom sector too. |
