Calpine to announce Q3 result on Oct. 28

Calpine Corporation, a U.S. power company will be declaring its third quarter 2011 financial results on Friday, Oct. 28, 2011, the company announced Thursday.

The results will be presented during the investor call at 10:00 a.m. Eastern Time. The live webcast of the investor call will be accessible at www.calpine.com.

On July 29, the company had declared solid second quarter results. Its adjusted EBITDA rose to $406 million from $381 million in the same period last year.

Even the net loss for the quarter reduced to $70 million $115 million in the same quarter in 2010.

Calpine is expected to declare strong third quarter results.
