MLS: Colorado 2, Dallas 1 (OT)

Toronto -- Mac Kandji's shot in overtime Sunday bounced off an FC Dallas defender and into the net, handing the Colorado Rapids a 2-1 win for the MLS championship.

Kandji worked the ball down low in the 107th minute and launched a shot that took a carom off George John and past a surprised Kevin Hartman for an own-goal, and the Rapids -- seeded seventh in the playoffs -- won their first league final.

Kandji was taken off the field with an injury after the play and the Rapids had to play a man down the rest of the way. While Dallas had some chances, it couldn't get the tying goal.

Conor Casey beat Hartman during a goal scramble to produce a 1-1 equalizer for Colorado in the 56th minute after league MVP David Ferreira have given FC Dallas a 1-0 advantage in the 34th minute.
