Crane finished with a 2-under-par 69 Sunday and had a tournament total of 18-under 266, one stroke better than Brian Davis. Crane won $1 million but neither the winnings nor the title will be counted on official PGA totals.

Davis shot 5-under 66 in the final round and finished second at 17 under. Luke Donald (67 Sunday) and Martin Laird (66) tied for third.

Crane was up by two strokes heading into Sunday's play but consecutive bogeys on Nos. 12-14 allowed Davis to take the lead. Crane pulled into a tie for the lead with a 10-foot eagle putt on the 292-yard, par-4 15th. He also had an eagle on the hole Thursday and birdied it in the other two rounds. An 8-foot birdie putt at 18 gave him the victory.

"I've never won a tournament where it's been hanging on a putt like that on the last hole," Crane said. "Earlier this year, I had a short putt to win but I've never experienced anything like today. It's a very special feeling."
