Judge recuses herself from Lohan case

Los Angeles -- Marsha Revel, a Beverly Hills, Calif., judge, has voluntarily asked to be recused from overseeing actress Lindsay Lohan's case, TMZ said Wednesday.

Lohan left jail this month after serving 13 full days of a 90-day sentence imposed by Revel for violating her probation.

Despite her youth and promising career, Lohan has long battled an addiction to drugs and alcohol. She immediately entered a drug treatment facility after leaving jail.

The 24-year-old star of "Freaky Friday" and "Mean Girls" spent nearly two weeks in a solitary cell for violating her probation in a 2007 driving under the influence case. Her sentence was cut short due to her good behavior behind bars and overcrowding in the prison system.

TMZ said Wednesday Revel requested to step down from the case after prosecutor Danette Meyers accused her of improperly contacting medical experts and rehab facilities without notifying the lawyers involved. Revel apparently made the move before Meyers could file papers to force her off the case, TMZ said.

Revel has since been replaced by Judge Elden Fox, the Web site said.

She needs a solid foundation.

She needs a rock in her life that could be the foundation for her future. Some one that could make sure she gets on a path and sticks with it.

I volunteer if she would have me, but I have noticed a trend in that region where the bad boys and girls tend to stick together in one big melting pot.
