Bryans repeat as Australian Open champs

Melbourne -- U.S. twins Bob and Mike Bryan collected their fourth Australian Open men's doubles title with a three-set win Saturday over Daniel Nestor and Nenad Zimonjic.

The top-seeded Bryans defeated Nestor and Zimonjic, the No. 2 seeds, 6-3, 6-7 (5-7), 6-3. The American team has won four of the last five men's doubles titles at the Australian Open, missing out in 2008. They have eight Grand Slam titles overall.

Nestor, from Canada, and Zimonjic, from Serbia, were seeking their third major tournament championship.

Nestor and Zimonjic rebounded from a 2-5 deficit in the second-set tie-breaker but the Bryans pulled off a service break in the third set for a 4-1 lead and control of the match.

The Bryans will split $400,000 for the win.

The decision gives Americans three of the top four Australian Open titles in back-to-back years. Earlier Saturday Serena Williams took the women's singles title and on Friday she teamed with sister Venus in winning the women's doubles crown.
