Anaheim, Calif. -- Ryan Getzlaf and Evgeny Artyukhin had a goal and an assist each Tuesday to lead the Anaheim Ducks past the Buffalo Sabres 5-4 in matchup of two red-hot teams.

Bobby Ryan and Mike Brown scored in the first period along with Getzlaf and Artyukhin to give Anaheim a 4-0 lead after one period. Troy Bodie added a third-period goal for the Ducks, who have won seven of their last eight games and eight in a row at home.

Jonas Hiller stopped 41 shots for Anaheim.

Reserve goaltender Patrick Lalime got the start for the Sabres, who lost in regulation for the first time in nearly a month. He lasted less than 10 minutes and was yanked after giving up four goals on 11 shots. Ryan Miller made 18 saves the rest of the way.

The Sabres pulled to within 4-3 late in the third period. After Bodie's goal with 4:07 to play made it 5-3, Hecht scored with 53 seconds left in the game to close out the scoring.
