The Wolverines faced an early 12-6 deficit, but forced 11 turnovers and sank six 3-pointers on the way to a 32-23 halftime lead.
In the second, a lay-up by Jerome Dyson gave UConn a 47-45 lead with 10:52 remaining, but two points from Harris and three from Zack Novak gave the Wolverines a 50-47 lead, one they held for much of the rest of the contest.
Stu Douglass scored 13 with four assists, and Novak added 10 with four rebounds for the Wolverines (10-7), who have won four of five.
Kemba Walker led UConn with 15 points and six rebounds.
Gavin Edwards had 14 points and eight rebounds, Dyson 13 points with four steals, while Stanley Robinson added 11 with five rebounds for the Huskies (11-6), who have lost three in a row.
They sank only 16-of-25 free throws.
