NBA: LA Clippers 102, LA Lakers 91

Los Angeles -- Baron Davis scored 25 points Wednesday and the Los Angeles Clippers put together a solid fourth quarter to surprise the Los Angeles Lakers 102-91.

The Clippers defeated the Lakers for the first time in 10 tries and equaled the number of home victories (11) they had all of last season.

The Lakers trailed by six going into the final period and after a lackluster shooting night seemed likely to stage a typical late-game surge. It never came, however, as the Clippers outscored the Lakers over the final 12 minutes 23-18.

Chris Kaman added 21 for the Clippers, Eric Gordon had 18 and Rasual Butler had 14.

Kobe Bryant scored 33 for the Lakers, who had won their previous four games, but he made just 10-of-30 shots from the field.

As a team, the Lakers shot 38 percent.
