The Blue Devils (13-1) have won seven straight games. Their lone loss came Dec. 2 against Wisconsin.
Nolan Smith added 20 points for Duke and Kyle Singler had 15 points to go with eight rebounds.
Iowa State came into the contest having won four in a row but the Cyclones turned the ball over 19 times and were outrebounded 35-28.
Marquis Gilstrap led Iowa State (10-4) with 16 points.
Duke's lead at halftime was only eight, but a 12-5 run midway through the second period broke things open. The Blue Devils shot 56 percent from the floor in the second half.
