The Huskies trailed by three with 6:27 to play but Dyson then led Connecticut on a nine-point run. He scored 16 points, had 10 assists and grabbed nine rebounds.
Connecticut improved to 11-3 for the season and to 2-1 in Big East play. The Huskies have won two straight since losing in their Big East opener to Cincinnati.
Seton Hall (9-5, 0-3) lost its fourth straight game -- two of the setbacks coming in overtime. Jeff Robinson led the Pirates with 17 points and nine rebounds.
