NBA: Phoenix 116, Boston 98

Phoenix -- A 26-point effort by both Channing Frye and Amare Stoudemire Wednesday paced Phoenix to a 116-98 win over Boston.

The Celtics lost their third straight, their longest skid of the season, and wound up with a 1-3 record on their four-game road trip. They played without Kevin Garnett, who is suffering from a sore right knee.

Phoenix improved to 13-2 at home and is the only team in the league to have defeated both the Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers.

Frye also had 10 rebounds and Leandro Barbosa came off the bench to contribute 17 points.

Stoudemire gave Phoenix a sensational start by making 9-of-10 shots in the opening quarter. The Suns owned a 61-49 halftime lead and were not threatened during the final two periods.

Six Boston players scored in double figures, led by Eddie House with 19.

Phoenix swept the two-game season series, having won in Boston on Nov. 6.
