Gosselin's representative, whose identity was not released, said the former star of "Jon & Kate Plus 8" returned to his apartment Saturday to find it apparently had been ravaged by an individual with a butcher knife, Us Magazine reported.
"He walked into his apartment and it was a disaster. The couch was cut up, his kids' Wii is missing, his Blu-ray DVD player is gone, the pots and pans are gone, the couch was sliced up, all of his clothes and shoes are all sliced and torn up," the representative said.
An unidentified source estimated the cost of the damage at $100,000.
A source said a note with the word "cheater" on it was impaled with a butcher knife on a bed headboard in the home, Us Magazine reported.
Law enforcement sources claim the note was signed with the name of Gosselin's former girlfriend, Hailey Glassman, TMZ.com reported.
Gosselin, 32, has been a media focus since he and his wife, Kate, split this year. The divorcing couple has twins as well as a set of sextuplets.
