NFL: Carolina 26, Minnesota 7

Charlotte, N.C. -- Matt Moore, starting for the injured Jake Delhomme, passed for 299 yards and three touchdowns Sunday to lead the Carolina Panthers to a 26-7 win over Minnesota.

Moore was 21-of-33 passing and Steve Smith caught nine passes for 157 yards and a 42-yard touchdown that put the Panthers (6-8) ahead early in the fourth quarter.

DeAngelo Williams left the game with an ankle injury in the second quarter. Jonathan Stewart picked up 109 yards and scored a touchdown on 25 carries and caught one touchdown pass.

Carolina dominated the entire game against the Vikings, who were held to a season low in scoring and gained just 237 yards total offense to 307 for the Panthers. Carolina controlled the ball for 38 minutes.

Brett Favre was 17-of-27 passing for 224 yards and threw an interception late in the fourth quarter.

Minnesota clinched its second consecutive NFC North title before the game started when the Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Green Bay Packers 37-36.
