COL FB: Middle Tenn. St. 42, S. Miss. 26

New Orleans -- Dwight Dasher threw two touchdown passes and ran for two TDs Sunday to lead Middle Tennessee beat Southern Mississippi 42-32 in the New Orleans Bowl.

Dasher was 15-of 25 passing for 162 yards and rushed for 201 yards on 26 carries for the Blue Raiders (10-3) -- despite sustaining a number of injuries during the game.

Brent Burnette was 2-of-3 passing for 45 yards and one touchdown for the Blue Raiders.

Chris McClover caught four passes for 55 yards and a touchdown, Garrett Andrews had four catches for 51 yards and a TD, Shane Blissard had a touchdown reception and Benjamin Cunningham rushed for a touchdown for Middle Tennessee.

Martevious Young was 18-of-34 passing for 271 yards and three touchdowns, but also threw two interceptions for the Golden Eagles (7-6).

Damion Fletcher picked up 78 yards on 17 carries and topped 1,000 yards rushing for the season for the fourth time in his college career. Tory Harrison ran for a score and Gerald Baptiste gained 117 yards on four passes for Southern Mississippi.
