Clayton, 49, alleges while serving as his personal assistant, Carol Hawkins took nearly $2.6 million from his accounts and spent the funds on items ranging from jewelry to cars, NME.com reported Sunday.
The rock bassist reportedly obtained a temporary court order to have Hawkins' assets frozen as the Dublin High Court battle progresses.
Clayton alleges he fired Hawkins in November after she allegedly admitted to "misappropriating" some of his funds, NME.com said.
The music magazine Web site said Hawkins admitted to the court she did use some of Clayton's credit cards while in the musician's employ, but she denies stealing the amount specified.
The legal battle is scheduled to continue on Monday.
