On the New York Mercantile Exchange, crude oil prices gave up 19 cents to $72.73 per barrel. Heating oil prices fell Thursday, down 0.0186 cents to $1.9472 per gallon. Reformulated gasoline prices dropped 0.0234 cents to $1.8505 per gallon. Natural gas prices added 0.296 cents to $5.758 per million British thermal units.

At the pump, the national average price of unleaded gasoline was $2.59 per gallon Thursday, down from Wednesday's $2.594, AAA said.
