NBA: Sacramento 112, Washington 109

Sacramento -- Tyreke Evans made two free throws with 3.4 seconds remaining Wednesday and the Sacramento Kings survived a 3-point try at the buzzer to down Washington 112-109.

Washington trailed by 10 with 4 minutes remaining, but gave itself a chance when Caron Butler made a dunk with 18 seconds to play. The Wizards regained the ball, trailing by one, but Evans stole it from Gilbert Arenas and was immediately fouled.

The two free throws gave the Kings a 112-109 lead, after which Butler got a good look at a 3-pointer that would have tied it. The shot rattled off the rim, however, leaving the Wizards with their sixth straight loss.

Evans scored 26 to lead the Kings, Omri Casspi had 22 and Andres Nocioni had 20.
Washington was led by Arenas with 33.
