NBA: LA Lakers 104, Minnesota 92

Los Angeles -- Kobe Bryant scored 20 points Friday and the Los Angeles Lakers dominated the third period en route to a 104-92 victory over Minnesota.

The Lakers held only a two-point halftime lead, but outscored the Timberwolves in the third quarter by 16.

Los Angeles won its 11th straight game and improved the best record in the NBA to 18-3.

Every other team in the Western Conference has lost at least seven games.

Pau Gasol contributed 17 points and Ron Artest had 16 for the Lakers, who made 8-of-25 shots from 3-point range.

Minnesota, which has lost three in a row and has won only three games this season, was led by Al Jefferson with 24 points.
