NHL: Minnesota 5, Anaheim 4 (SO)

St. Paul, Minn. -- Guillaume Latendresse scored in the third round of the shootout Friday to finish off a Minnesota comeback and give the Wild a 5-4 win over Anaheim.

Minnesota faced a two-goal deficit with 5 minutes to play in the third period, but Mikko Koivu and Antti Miettinen scored to force overtime. Miettinen's power-play goal came with 1:41 to play.

Both sides converted a shot during the first two shootout rounds and Latendresse put Minnesota in front to begin the third. Saku Koivu's attempt to keep the shootout going failed when he appeared to trip as he was taking his shot.

Both Koivu and Miettinen had two goals each in regulation and Niklas Backstrom got the win by stopping 22-of-26 shots.

Joffrey Lupul and Bobby Ryan also had two goals each for Anaheim. The Ducks lost their fourth straight. Jonas Hiller made 25 saves for Anaheim.
