2 of Four Tops help with coat giveaway

Detroit -- Two members of the classic Motown group The Four Tops added the personal touch to an effort to assist needy Detroit children, helping hand out winter coats.

Duke Fakir, the only original member of the group still performing, and Lawrence Payton, the son and namesake of a founding member, helped distribute 4,000 coats Wednesday at a Detroit golf course, The Detroit Free Press reported. Parents could pick up vouchers at Happy Pizza shops.

The Four Tops performed together for more than 30 years into the late 1990s, turning out hits including "Baby I Need Your Loving," "I Can't Help Myself (Sugar Pie Honey Bunch)," "It's the Same Old Song" and "Reach Out I'll Be There."
