NHL: St. Louis 4, Dallas 3 (SO)

Dallas -- A goal by Brad Boyes Wednesday gave the St. Louis Blues their first shootout victory of the season, a 4-3 win over Dallas.

St. Louis handed the Stars their seventh overtime loss of the season, tying Dallas for most extra-time setbacks in the NHL.

Brenden Morrow scored for Dallas with 26 seconds remaining in the third period to force overtime and St. Louis scored in each of the first two shootout rounds.

Ty Conklin, who made 34 saves in regulation and overtime, stopped Stephane Robidas in the third round to clinch the victory.

Marty Turco, coming off a shutout, made 35 saves in taking the loss.

David Backes and T.J. Oshie both had a goal and an assist for the Blues, winners of three out of four.

Dallas honored Brett Hull prior to the game on his recent induction into the Hall of Fame. Hull scored the goal 10 years ago that won the only Stanley Cup in Dallas history.
