The victory gave the Commodores (4-1) fifth place in the Maui Invitational. They won their second straight after losing in the tournament opener to Cincinnati.
Vanderbilt went on a 14-2 run in the second half, during which the Commodores hit 18-of-26 shots from the field. Jermaine Beal pitched in 18 points and Jeffery Taylor had 13.
Arizona (3-2) was led by Solomon Hill with 17 points.
