Real estate agent Rodger Motz said a man in Denmark has already contacted him about the ranch where the late rock 'n' roller Elvis Presley spent his 1968 honeymoon with his wife Priscilla, The (Memphis) Commercial Appeal reported Sunday.
"I knew before I listed the property that there were a lot of Elvis fans out there. But I have to admit, I was surprised to get a call from that far away," Motz said of the overseas interest in the Mississippi property.
Presley owned the 155-acre ranch from 1966 to 1971 and the cottage where he spent his honeymoon still stands on the property. The property is currently owned by the family of William F. McLemore, who died in 2002.
Motz told The Commercial Appeal the property, which includes two barns and a 5,000-square-foot building, was previously considered for transformation into a resort.
"When it was for sale a few years back, we were trying to make a Starz Resort out of it," Motz said. "We tried two different times to get that done with two different buyers, but they never came through with the money."
