MLB: Philadelphia 5, Colorado 1

Philadelphia -- Cliff Lee pitched a complete-game six-hitter Wednesday, leading Philadelphia to a 5-1 win over Colorado in Game 1 of the National League Division Series.

Lee (1-0), acquired from Cleveland at this year's trading deadline, came within one out of a complete-game in his first-ever post-season appearance.

He did not walk a batter in 113 pitches, fanned five, threw 25 first pitch strikes, and was the first pitcher ever to steal a base in the post-season after his two-out, third-inning single.

Before a seventh-inning double by Garrett Atkins, Lee had retired 16 straight batters.

Raul Ibanez led Philadelphia batters with two hits and two RBI.

Jayson Werth and Ryan Howard had two hits and one RBI apiece, while Carlos Ruiz added an RBI single for the Phillies, who are home for Game 2 on Thursday.

Colorado's run scored on Troy Tulowitzki's ninth-inning double.

The losing pitcher was starter Ubaldo Jimenez (0-1).
