"My son was autistic and he suffered from seizure disorder every five to 10 days," People.com said Travolta told the court Wednesday. "He would suffer a seizure that would last 45 seconds to a minute and sleep for 12 hours."
The case concerns Jett Travolta, 16, who died after a massive seizure in his family's vacation home in the Bahamas in January.
Tarino Lightbourn, the paramedic who tried to revive Jett after Travolta called for help and Pleasant Bridgewater, a former Bahamian senator, have pleaded innocent to charges they conspired to sell Travolta documents detailing Jett's emergency care the day he died. They allegedly threatened to make the papers public if Travolta didn't pay them $25 million.
The "Grease" and "Pulp Fiction" actor said Wednesday he was awakened by nanny Eli Wheaton the day his son died.
"He was pounding on the door upstairs where we were sleeping," Travolta said, recalling how he dashed downstairs to find people already trying to revive his son.
"I took the place of the woman who was doing CPR. She was an employee of Old Bahama Bay who I recognized as such," he said.
A courtroom observer told People.com both Travolta and his wife, Kelly Preston, were "graceful" and remained dry-eyed during the court session.

In Truth
In Truth under any and all circumstances in life people are doing the best they can at the moment. People who judge other people have issues and belief systems they themselves may need to release.
When we all stop being afraid and judging ourselves and others so harshly this world will have peace.
Why is it so hard for people to wish someone love and peace in all they do in life and look for the good?
We are human and life is an experience in all aspects why not chose love and peace for all including yourself.
Good comes from even Chaos you just have to be open and aware to see it.
pursuit of happiness
I agree and try to live accordingly, but I feel like I'm one of the few, and wonder if there is any point to my choice to have a benign affect on the world when I'm surrounded by selfishness.......what will become of us all?
Dear Pursuit
Read Ken Keyes's "THE HUNDREDTH MONKEY" it's a theory about how all of us within a species affect one another. A group of monkeys was studied and 1 monkey began washing his potatoes in the salt water..soon all of the monkeys began mimicking this monkey...when a given number of the monkeys behaved in this fashion, the same behavior began to appear in a group of monkeys hundreds of miles away ..even thought the two groups had no contact. This symbolized what scientists call the critical mass within the species. It's theorized that once a critical mass number is reached, the same behavior begins to show up in all of the other species members. In short..keep being a force of good in the world. It does matter! U can make a difference! or in the immortal words of Luke skywalker..the force is strong..don't give in to the dark side.
Reality
Everyone is one time of their life denied something about their families. And the reason is not that they are embarrassed of the person or the condition. The reason is privacy. Not everyone are as strong as appears to be. Having a autistic son is not something to be embarrassed, however is not something to be famous. The Travolta's preferred to deal with the illness of their son in private. No one to follow them with a camera, awaiting a seizure from his son to publish the picture and gain fame as a great papparazi.
Disability is one thing, and be torture from people every second of your life "because you are a public figure" is other. You try to live your life the best way and to have your privacy. Not been in every newspaper showing pictures of your son with a seizure as a ticket for a Pulitzer Prize.
ouch!
What a horrible thing to say! My daughter also has a seizure disorder and she chooses not to make it public. Our close friends and family know about it but that's it! That is their business...not ours. We shouldn't care if poor Jett had a condition or not. He was a human being, and that's all we need to know! Until you know the feeling of a death of a child. I wouldn't be winking and nudging people...grow up!
Ouch is right!
He was asked before about Jett being autistic and he blatantly lied and said Jett wasn't. Why? Because he was ashamed of the fact that he was, otherwise, why reveal it now? A parent that loves their child isn't going to be ashamed of them just because they have a disorder. You love them just the way they are. As for your daughter, you are not a celebrity who was asked outright and lied about it. Has someone asked you and did you lie about it to them? As for it being their business, I'm sorry to say, but when you're a celeb in the public eye, nothing is just your business and they, John and Kelly, knew this since both of them are stars. It's a part of the job, sorry.
I am sorry but what you have
I am sorry but what you have commented and the other person who winked are being just rude and unhuman. Do you bring your children to the office? Do you include them in your in your job daily duties? Do you answer honestly or make public your childs private life, let it be a disability or any other problem? I don't think so. No matter what your career is you private life is private. Celebrities, I'm sure are aware that they will constantly be bombarded with paparazzis and very little privacy but this does not mean that their life is everyones business and they have to be completely honest about what happens in their home and whatever problems they have.
Really?
Your son was autistic? Wow, what a shocking revelation!! Geez John, you're such a loser, being ashamed of your son's disability for 16 years and only after his death do you publicly admit it. Anyone who isn't blind could tell from your son's mellon that he had a disability, sheesh. I'm sure you're sad to see Jett go, "wink, wink, nudge, nudge" not that you don't have to be ashamed of him anymore.
Your "wink wink nudge nudge"
Your "wink wink nudge nudge" comment demonstrates to all that u are the true heartless bastard you're trying to insinuate the Travoltas are. It's obvious they loved Jett and are indeed devastated by his loss even if you don't understand or agree with their motives or decision to conceal his condition from the public. Yes it is common knowledge that if you chose this profession you will have to live with the continual invasion of privacy..but that doesn't mean they don't have the right to privacy and the right to exercise it by any means they feel appropriate.
