The Exorcist star runs a sanctuary in Toluca Lake, Los Angeles, which reportedly receives $150,000 (£100,000) annually from music mogul Simon Cowell to care for abused and neglected pets.
Blair is preparing for the worst as wildfires creep ever closer to the World Heart Foundation's venue in Acton.
She writes on the sanctuary's website, "The last 24 hours have been incredibly scary and we are no where near being out of the woods. We have been informed that the containment dates for this fire, at this time, are going past Labor Day (07Sept09). This means we’ve got a ways to go (sic) before we aren’t on edge any more."
Blair is requesting help from people in the area if a blaze reaches the sanctuary: "In terms of the evacuation itself - we are on pins and needles waiting for the word. Our biggest fear is getting the orders in the middle of the night when everyone is asleep. If you are willing to help load dogs in crates and transport to our evacuation spot and don’t mind getting called in the middle of the night please let us know." (KD/WNWCDAR/ZN)

Re: Linda Blair Worldheart Foundation
As a successful performer, I was pleasantly shocked and amazed at how hard Linda Blair works. I mean NON STOP!! It is a pleasure to work with her at the Dog Sanctuary, and I plead with everyone out there, especially the Native American Communities that enjoy my CD's, to give what you can to healp her in this very scary time. The fires have darkened the skies over the Antelope Valley, and surrounding areas, and evacuation of her dog rescue is a very real possibility.
To all my fans; This is quickly becoming a cause very close to my heart. Please help Linda Blair at this time. Donations can be made through her website at:http://lindablairworldheart.org/?page_id=10.
Peace in all things,
