Closer Kerry Wood, the last of four pitchers, earned his 16th save with a 1-2-3 ninth.

Cleveland's Matt LaPorta hit a solo homer, and Shin-Soo Choo drove in a run.
Asdrubal Cabrera had one RBI, while Jamey Carroll had three hits for the
Indians, who won twice in the three-game series.

The winning run scored on a fifth-inning wild pitch by Kansas City starter Luke Hochevar (6-7), the losing pitcher.

Kansas City scored on Mark Teahen's first-inning sacrifice fly and Miguel Olivo's double in the third.
