Los Angeles police arrested Alex Da Silva, a 41-year-old salsa dance instructor, at his North Hollywood home Tuesday.
Jane Robison, spokeswoman for the Los Angeles County district attorney's office, told the Los Angeles Times Da Silva was charged with four counts of forcible rape, two counts of assault with intent to commit rape and two counts of sexual penetration by a foreign object. Robison also said he is being held on $6.2 million bail.
The choreographer and instructor is accused of assaulting four women, who were either dancers or aspiring dancers, between August 2002 and March 2009, the report said.
Da Silva was first arrested in April and briefly incarcerated, then released when the LA County district attorney's office opted not to file charges and asked investigators to resubmit the case pending more evidence, the Times said.
His arraignment is set for Thursday.

It's about time an
It's about time an intelligent District Attorney was put on this case. Former lacking DAs is the reason for the case being dragged on for so long. Alex is a criminal and deserves everything that is to come - life in prison. Rapists don't show their dark side to the public. Their own families don't even know it! May justice be served and remember, the devil comes in many disguises.
