Kane case cabbie lost license in 1990s

Buffalo, N.Y. -- The cab driver allegedly punched and robbed by Chicago Blackhawks star Patrick Kane has had his own scrapes with the law, the Buffalo (N.Y.) News says.

The newspaper said Tuesday that 62-year-old cabbie Jan Radecki had his driver's license revoked twice in the late 1990s and spent two weeks in jail for driving under the influence.

Radecki, who has apparently kept his nose clean in this century, told police he was punched during a weekend altercation with Kane and his cousin over a fare dispute.

Radecki's lawyer had no comment other than to say his client quit drinking years ago. The lawyer also told WGN radio in Chicago the incident had been "blown out of proportion" and likely did not meet the felony threshold.

Kane is to appear in court Monday in Buffalo, the Daily News said.

Yeah the cabbie has DUIs,

Yeah the cabbie has DUIs, but is that related to what happened? Kane is still a violent punk and the cab driver is the victim here.
