Davydenko, the winner at last week's Hamburg Open, cruised to a 6-1,6-1 win over fourth-seeded Jurgen Melzer of Austria. Ferrero, a former world No. 1, downed No. 7 seed Andreas Seppi of Italy 6-1, 6-7 (1-7), 7-5.
Davydenko, who rose from No. 12 to ninth in the latest men's world rankings
this week, will attempt to bag the 16th title in his career in Sunday's final. He has won nine straight matches.
Ferrero saved five of six break points and converted four of eight break point chances against his Italian opponent. Sunday will the first time since 2005 tournaments in Vienna and Barcelona that the Spaniard has reached
multiple finals in the same season.
He stopped a six-year title drought in April by winning the Grand Prix Hassan II event at Casablanca.
