MLB: Chicago Cubs 4, Atlanta 2

Chicago, July 6: Derrek Lee had a two-run homer and a double Monday to pace the Chicago Cubs to a 4-2 victory over the Atlanta Braves.

Randy Wells (4-3) gave up two runs on seven hits in six innings for his fourth consecutive victory. Wells became the first Cubs rookie to win four straight starts since Kerry Wood in 1998.

Kevin Gregg earned his 15th save.

Kosuke Fukudome was 2-for-3 with an RBI double for the Cubs, who have won six of their last eight games. Ryan Theriot had the other run batted in for Chicago.

Jair Jurrjens (6-7) allowed four runs on seven hits with three walks in six innings to take the loss for Atlanta.

Nate McLouth was 3-for-5 with a solo home run for the Braves, who have lost three straight. Yunel Escobar was 2-for-3 with an RBI.
