MLB: Milwaukee 7, San Francisco 6

Milwaukee, June 28: Prince Fielder drove in the winning run with a ninth-inning RBI double Saturday in the Milwaukee Brewers' 7-6 win over San Francisco.

The Brewers scored three times in the home half of the ninth after the Giants had scored twice in the top of the ninth to break a 4-4 tie.

Aaron Rowand, Randy Winn and Pablo Sandoval opened the inning with consecutive singles. Rowand scored on a sacrifice fly by Bengie Molina and Winn came in on a sacrifice fly by Edgar Renteria to put the Giants ahead 6-4.

San Francisco closer Brian Wilson (4-4) struck out Mike Rivera to open the bottom of the ninth but then Craig Counsell legged out an infield hit, Wilson walked Mat Gamel and Corey Hart and J.J. Hardy hit back-to-back RBI singles to tie the score at 6-6. With two out, Fielder drove in Hart with the game-winning run.

Fielder also stroked a three-run home run and Casey McGehee hit a solo homer for the Brewers, who have won three times in their last four games.

Brewers' starter Seth McClung went four innings, allowing three runs on six hits with two walks and three strikeouts.

Milwaukee closer Trevor Hoffman (1-1) gave up two runs on four hits in the ninth but still earned the win.

Sandoval had a pair of solo homers, and Renteria, Travis Ishikawa and Juan Uribe each finished with two hits and an RBI for the Giants, who lost their second straight game.
