Palin, the governor of Alaska, slammed the late-night TV talk show host after he made a rude remark about New York Yankees player Alex Rodriguez getting her teenage daughter pregnant during a game.
A furious Palin demanded an apology from Letterman and the comedian acquiesced, explaining he was not referring to the Republican former vice presidential candidate's 14-year-old daughter Willow, who was at the game, but instead was poking fun of Palin's single-mom, 18-year-old daughter Bristol, who was not.
Palin then declined to accept Letterman's apology.
The San Jose (Calif.) Mercury News said the proprietors of a Web site called FireDavidLetterman.com, co-sponsored by Kolb, are organizing a rally outside Letterman's New York show Tuesday.
"Firing Mr. Letterman would send a clear message that CBS will not tolerate any of its employees, even an established media figure like Mr. Letterman, making demeaning and degrading comments about women," the Mercury News said Kolb wrote in a letter to CBS chief Les Moonves.

Palin vs. Letterman
Game Over, Someone should tell Palin you never start a verbal war with a comedian, you lose before you open your mouth. Simply because he is a comedian...Please what is the uproar all about really? Palin strutted her unmarried pregnant teenage daughter out on stage for the whole world to see, if she didn't want her in the headlines she should have kept her mouth shut. Everyone would have know soon enough her daughter was pregnant. For her to keep coming out with abstinence only advise is really stupid. Although she hasn't shown any signs of intelligence yet so what should we all expect. Personally if I had been Letterman I wouldn't have said a word, Palin is a joke and everyone needs to stop putting this joke in the news, can you imagine what other countries people think of us if we support a complete MORON AGAIN!!!
Are we kidding??? We can only hope and pray that the Republicans will go the way of the Dinosaurs...extinct!
Web site calling for Letterman ouster
David Letterman is first a comedian, and all comedians tell bad jokes from time to time. I do not think there is anyone out there that has told a joke and later though "maybe I should not have told that joke". Letterman apologized: Palin needs to stop searching for her other 15 minutes of fame. She should accept the apology and move forward. If she ever wants to be "in command " of the US she needs to keep a level head, and realize when a joke is a joke.
