When compared with prices in March, medicines and public healthcare services led the list of April price rises at 6.1 percent, followed by rises in prices of entertainment and cultural events of 2.2 percent, transport of 1.3 percent, furniture with 1.1 percent, and food, soft drinks, hotels and restaurants prices up 0.7 percent.
In working out inflation figures, the Serbian statistics office is using methods of the European Union that include average changes of retail prices of goods and services for personal consumption, apartment rentals, and financial, education and catering services.
