Actor Butler charged in alleged photo flap

Los Angeles -- Scottish film star Gerard Butler was charged with misdemeanor criminal battery in connection with an alleged altercation with a Los Angeles paparazzo last fall.

Butler is accused of punching a photographer in the lip as he was getting into a limo outside a bar Oct. 7.

LA city attorney spokesman Frank Mateljan told Usmagazine.com Thursday the "RocknRolla," "300" and "P.S. I Love You" star is scheduled to be arraigned on the battery charge June 10.
