TV show reported to Swedish Police

Stockholm, Sweden -- A Swedish prosecutor said he reported a popular hidden camera prank TV show to police for crimes including disorderly conduct and sexual harassment.

State prosecutor J. Nordin said he called Stockholm police this month to report "Ballar av Stal," based on British TV show "Balls of Steel," for "crimes up to and including Wednesday April 1," The Local reported Thursday.

Kanal 5, the station that broadcasts the program, said "Ballar av Stal" is strictly for entertainment and producers have never had criminal intentions with the show.

"But it is of course up to the authorities to decide for themselves if they want to waste tax revenue in 2009," Kanal 5 spokesman Dan Panas said.

The Local said the case has been handed to the Chancellor of Justice for consideration.
