Foxx and his Foxxhole crew started verbally bashing Cyrus after someone called into Foxx's Sirius satellite show Sunday to criticize the teen singer-actress for vowing to "ruin" the rock band Radiohead for declining to meet with her at the Grammy Awards show in February.
Cyrus was referred to on the radio show as a "little white bitch" by one of Foxx's co-hosts, while Foxx advised Cyrus to "make a sex tape and grow up,"
"do some heroin" and "catch chlamydia on a bicycle seat."
"I so apologize to (Cyrus) and this is sincere," E! News quoted Foxx as saying on "Tonight." "I have a radio show ... We're really the black Howard Stern. We go at everybody. There was a situation with Miley Cyrus and I just want to say, I apologize for what I said. I didn't mean it maliciously.
"You know I'm a comedian. You know my heart."
Looking directly into the camera, Foxx continued: "Miley, I apologize, so I'll call you. I got a daughter too, so I completely understand."
Foxx appeared on the show to promote his much buzzed about big-screen drama
"The Soloist," in which he plays a brilliant, mentally ill musician.
Cyrus's "Hannah Montana: The Movie" was No. 1 at the box office when it
opened last weekend.
