The 6-foot-1, 323-pound native of Washington Township in New Jersey is considered to be the top defensive tackle eligible for the league's annual player draft later this month.
Sports Illustrated.com reported that unidentified NFL team sources said Raji was among a list of players who tested positive, and that he also tested positive for marijuana during his college career at BC.
"This is an unconfirmed rumor from nameless sources on which we cannot comment," Brian Murphy, chief operating officer of Athletes First LLC, which represents Raji, told The Boston Globe. "B.J. has been a stellar client and we are very excited to see him achieve his dream of playing in the NFL."
Raji missed the 2007 season because of academic problems.
