Los Angeles -- Infielder Juan Uribe left the world champion San Francisco Giants for the Los Angeles Dodgers Tuesday, lured by a reported $21 million deal.
The Los Angeles Times reported Uribe will get the money over three years.
Uribe, who plays several infield positions, hit .248 with 24 home runs and 85 RBI last season. The 31-year-old is a career .256 hitter with 151 homers and 599 RBI in 1,256 games with the Chicago White Sox, Giants and Colorado.
Uribe also was on the White Sox' 2005 World Series champion team.

Phoenix -- Infielder Geoff Blum was given a two-year deal by the Arizona Diamondbacks Monday.
The National League club didn't say how much it will pay Blum, who hit .267 with two home runs and 22 RBI in 93 games for the Houston Astros last season. He's a .251 career hitter in 12 big-league seasons.
His 11 pinch-hit RBI were the fourth best in the league, while his 14 pinch hits in just 42 pinch-hit at-bats were tied for seventh in the league.
Arizona General Manager Kevin Towers said Blum was brought in to give Manager Kirk Gibson more flexibility.

Milwaukee -- Alcides Escobar and Ryan Braun both had two RBI during a six-run seventh inning Friday that lifted the Milwaukee Brewers to a 7-2 win over Pittsburgh.
The Brewers halted a four-game losing streak and handed the Pirates their 49th road setback of the season.
Pittsburgh had a 2-1 lead going into the seventh, one of its runs coming in the fifth on Chris Snyder's 12th homer, but the Brewers sent 11 men to the plate to break open the contest.
Prince Fielder walked to open the inning against James McDonald (2-4) and moved to second on a one-out single by Chris Dickerson. Both runners scored on a triple by Escobar.
Escobar came in on a base hit by Jonathan Lucroy, who was singled to second by Joe Inglett.

Kansas City, Mo. -- Juan Pierre's RBI double in the 10th inning Saturday gave the Chicago White Sox a 7-6 victory over Kansas City in the second game of a doubleheader.
Gordon Beckham led off the frame with a single off Greg Holland (0-1), was sacrificed to second by Raul Castro and one out later came home when Pierre placed a hit down the right-field line.
J.J. Putz (6-5), who allowed the Royals to tie with a run in the ninth, retired Kansas City 1-2-3 in the bottom of the 10th to pick up the win and give the Chisox a split in the doubleheader at Kauffman Stadium.
Castro homered and Alex Rios drove in a pair of runs for Chicago, which remained four games behind Minnesota for first place in the American League Central.

Pittsburgh -- Josh Thole sparked an early surge with RBI singles in the first and third innings Friday and the New York Mets went on to down Pittsburgh 7-2.
The setback ensured Pittsburgh will have its 18th straight losing season -- a record in American professional sports.
New York needs one more win during the weekend to capture its first road series against a National League team this season.
The Mets scored all their runs during the first four innings -- getting three in the opening frame on RBI singles from Chris Carter, Ike Davis and Thole.
Davis and Jose Reyes both went 3-for-5 and Carter added a solo homer in the third as part of a 15-hit attack.

Atlanta -- Martin Prado returned from the disabled list Tuesday with three hits and in a pair of RBI and the Atlanta Braves pounded Washington 10-2.
Prado, activated just before the game, made his first start of the season at third base, replacing the injured Chipper Jones, and responded by going 3-for-5, driving in runs in the sixth and seventh innings and scoring three times for the first-place Braves.
Diory Hernandez homered and Melky Cabrera and Matt Diaz each drove in a pair of runs as Atlanta improved its home record to a major league-best 43-16.
Mike Minor (1-0) collected his first major league win in his second career start, holding the Nats to two runs on five hits in six innings, walking two and striking out five.

St. Petersburg, Fla. -- Carlos Pena's go-ahead RBI single highlighted a four-run, eighth-inning rally Monday and the Tampa Bay Rays defeated Texas 6-4.
Trailing 4-2 entering the inning, the Rays scored four times to chase Cliff Lee (10-6) and record a win in the first of a three-game set at Tropicana Field.
Carl Crawford beat out a double-play try, allowing B.J. Upton to score to pull the Rays to within a run. Evan Longoria then tied it with a run-scoring single and Pena -- fresh off the disabled list with a sore foot -- followed with the decisive hit.

Seattle -- Franklin Gutierrez had two RBI Tuesday, including a go-ahead solo home run in the fifth inning of the Seattle Mariners' 3-2 victory over Texas.
The Mariners ended their seven-game losing streak at the expense of the Rangers, who lead the American League West, and put their first runs on the scoreboard since Friday.
Chone Figgins had three hits for the Mariners, who outhit Texas 11-4. Ichiro Suzuki and Casey Kotchman had two hits apiece.
The overdue production carried Jose Vargas (7-5) to his first win since June 22. Vargas held Texas to two runs on three hits over six innings.
David Aardsma picked up his 19th save.

Pittsburgh -- Jeff Keppinger had an RBI in three different at bats Friday and Brett Myers worked 7 2/3 innings to bring the Houston Astros a 5-2 victory over Pittsburgh.
Houston won for the fifth time in seven games, but still has the third-worst record in the National League ahead of only Pittsburgh and Arizona.
Keppinger had an RBI groundout in the first inning, hit a solo homer in the sixth and doubled home another run in the seventh.
Myers (7-6) limited Pittsburgh to two runs on five hits and extended his franchise record to 19 straight starts of at least six innings to begin a season.
Matt Lindstrom worked a 1-2-3 ninth to earn his 22nd save.

Boston -- Nelson Cruz and Bengie Molina both had two RBI during a six-run first Thursday, starting Texas on its way to a 7-2 victory over Boston.
The Rangers ended a four-game losing streak by roughing up Tim Wakefield for eight hits in a two-inning stint.
Texas left eight runners on base and had two others thrown out, but the quick start allowed Tommy Hunter to remain unbeaten for the season.
Hunter (6-0) allowed two runs on five hits in 6 2/3 innings while throwing 108 pitches. Wakefield (3-8) has only one victory over the last five weeks.
One-out singles by Michael Young, Ian Kinsler and Vladimir Guerrero accounted for a run in the first and Josh Hamilton then doubled in Kinsler.

Toronto -- Vernon Wells belted a tie-breaking RBI double to cap a seventh-inning rally Wednesday and the Toronto Blue Jays edged Minnesota 6-5.
Trailing 5-4 entering the frame, Toronto battled back with Fred Lewis igniting the rally with a one-out triple off Kevin Slowey. Matt Guerrier (1-5) relieved and surrendered a sacrifice fly to Alex Gonzalez to produce a tie.
Jose Bautista walked and Wells broke an 0-for-21 slump by hitting a smash off the center field wall to score Bautista with the go-ahead run.
Scott Downs (3-5) tossed 1 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to get the win and Kevin Gregg notched his 19th save to preserve Toronto's victory.

ARlington, Texas -- Julio Bourbon's RBI single in the sixth put Texas ahead and the Rangers hung on Wednesday to defeat Cleveland 4-3.
After Michael Young smashed a two-run homer in fifth to tie the contest, Matt Treanor drilled a two-run double in the next frame off Cleveland starter Matt Talbot (8-8).
After Andres Blanco walked, Bourbon sent a grounder up the middle, scoring Treanor with the go-ahead tally to hand Texas the rubber match of a three-game set with the Indians.
Josh Hamilton got a first-inning RBI single to extend his home hitting streak to 27 games and Colby Lewis (8-5) pitched six solid innings to collect the victory.
