Moscow glitterati sample hot beauty trends

Moscow -- A beauty trade show brought the latest trends in hairdressing and makeup to Russian fashion plates this weekend.

More than 70 cosmetics firms presented their goods and services at the eighth World of Beauty Festival, held the Gostiny Dvor exhibition center in downtown Moscow. It ended Saturday, RIA Novosti reported.

Top hairdressers and makeup artists demonstrated bright colors, creative dreadlocks and curls. Looks on offer ranged from princess hairstyles to Vivienne Westwood-inspired makeup.

Dozens of women and a few men lined up for haircuts, coloring, facials and manicures from the stylists.

The festival also treated the public to music and cultural events.

Season 2 of 'Beauty' to premiere in May

Las Vegas -- Carson Kressley and Vanessa Minnillo have signed on as co-hosts and judges for Season 2 of the reality series "True Beauty," ABC said Thursday.

Beth Ostrosky Stern is also to serve as a judge on the show, which will premiere on the network May 31.

"Executive producers Tyra Banks and Ashton Kutcher team up again to put their spin on beauty in Sin City," ABC said in a news release. "Five gorgeous females and five hot men will live together at Planet Hollywood Hotel while they compete -- they think -- to become the 'Face of Vegas.' Unbeknownst to them, they'll be deliberately challenged by moral situations to see if they really are kind, generous and compassionate and have what it takes to be truly beautiful inside and out."
