Is World Wrestling Entertainment's Management Creating Value?

Warren Buffett's partner, Charlie Munger, once said, "I think I've been in the top 5% of my age cohort all my life in understanding the power of incentives, and all my life I've underestimated it. And never a year passes but I get some surprise that pushes my limit a little farther."

Conn. voters can wear WWE gear

Hartford -- Connecticut's secretary of state says voters can wear World Wrestling Entertainment gear to the polls even though the WWE's ex-chief executive is a candidate.

"If somebody walks in wearing a Hulk Hogan shirt, that's not a problem," Susan Bysiewicz told the Hartford Courant. "If someone is wearing a T-shirt that says vote for Dick Blumenthal or Linda McMahon, clearly those kind of items are prohibited."

Conn. wrestles with a voter dress code

Hartford, Conn. -- Voters wearing a T-shirt at the polls promoting World Wrestling Entertainment might be contested by election officials on Nov. 2, Connecticut officials said.

WWE is well known in the state as the company formerly run by Republican U.S. Senate candidate Linda McMahon and now run by her husband.

The company and the candidate are so quickly associated with each other that promoting the company on Election Day within 75 feet of a polling place could be construed as a violation of election laws, the Hartford (Conn.) Courant reported Saturday.

Wrestler's widow sues Linda McMahon

Hartford, Conn. -- The widow of former World Wrestling Entertainment star Owen Hart says she is suing former WWE head Linda McMahon, a U.S. Senate candidate in Connecticut.

Martha Hart contends in a lawsuit filed this week in Hartford, Conn., that McMahon and her husband, WWE founder and current Chief Executive Officer Vince McMahon, illegally used Owen Hart's images and likenesses after his 1999 death, Politico reported Tuesday.

Owen Hart was killed in a stunt gone awry, falling nearly 80 feet to his death in an arena while thousands watched. A WWE video released in April titled "Hart and Soul: The Hart Family Anthology," is at the center of the complaint.

Roethlisberger doesn't grapple on WWE show

Wilkes-Barre, Pa. -- Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger talked a good game as the guest host of a pro wrestling show but didn't get into a match, observers said.

World Wrestling Entertainment's cable television show Monday Night Raw was broadcast from Wilkes-Barre, Pa., this week, with Roethlisberger as its host.

Some were worried that the appearance might interfere with his quarterbacking duties, but despite scripted challenges by wrestlers, the Steelers' star didn't grapple, the Pittsburgh Tribune-Review reported.

The quarterback appeared on the program with his offensive linemen, Max Starks, Willie Colon, Trai Essex, Justin Hartwig, Chris Kemoeatu and Darnell Stapleton, who helped Roethlisberger fend off a taunt by WWE wrestlers the
