Nokia files patent complaint against Apple

Madison, Wis. -- Nokia has added five new patent complaints to its prolonged distrust of U.S. technology giant Apple, court papers show.

Nokia now claims Apple violated five Nokia patents for technologies used in the iPad, Computerworld reported Friday.

The legal wrangling has gone both ways. Nokia charged Apple with 10 patent violations in October 2009. Two months later, Apple came back with a 13-patent lawsuit against Nokia.

The rivals have also extended their legal dispute by filing complaints with the U.S. International Trade Commission, which is investigating the allegations.
