Troicki claims first ATP title in Moscow

Moscow -- Viktor Troicki picked up his first ATP championship Sunday with a three-set victory over Marcos Baghdatis at the Kremlin Cup tennis tournament in Moscow.

The unseeded Troicki rallied from behind for a 3-6, 6-4, 6-3 win over Baghdatis, the tournament's No. 4-seed. It was the third three-set win for Troicki at the tournament.

Troicki dropped his serve twice in the first set but only faced one break point after that. He lost just five points on serve in winning the second set and nine points in the third set.

Djokovic downs Beck at Swiss Indoors

Basel, Switzerland -- Novak Djokovic scored 10 aces and racked up three service breaks in a 6-3, 7-5 win over German Andreas Beck Tuesday at the Swiss Indoors Tournament.

Djokovic, ranked third in the world, will now face Czech Jan Hernych at the Basel, Switzerland, event.

Also in Basel, Swiss crowd favorite, wild card Marco Chiudinelli, defeated eighth-seeded German Philipp Kohlschreiber 7-6 (7-5), 3-6, 7-5, while Finn Jarkko Nieminen bounced France's Julien Benneteau 7-5, 6-2.

Other Day 2 winners at the Swiss Indoors included Hernych, Serbian Viktor Troicki, Russian qualifier Evgeny Korolev and Swiss qualifier Michael Lammer.

Davydenko, Ferrer win Croatia Open matches

Umag, Croatia. July 29: Nikolay Davydenko and David Ferrer, the top two seeds, won their first-round matches Wednesday at the Croatia Open in Umag.

The top-seeded Davydenko easily beat Spaniard Daniel Gimeno-Traver 6-2, 6-2. The second-seeded Ferrer had a much more difficult time subduing Austrian Daniel Koellerer, finally downing him 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3 6-1, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3.
